VPS01 Backup — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 20 September 2026
Purpose and users
This is a personal, single-user backup integration. It is operated by and for the owner of the connected Google account; it does not accept other users or collect visitor accounts through these public information pages.
Google account access
The integration requests the Google Drive drive.file permission. Rclone uses the owner's authorization to create, list, read, update and delete only the backup files and folders that the integration creates in the owner's Google Drive. It does not read unrelated existing Drive content, Gmail, contacts or profile data.
What is stored
Restic encrypts the selected VPS configuration and application data on the owner's server before transfer. The Drive backup contains the encrypted Restic repository and its metadata. The encryption password is stored separately by the owner and is not stored in Google Drive as part of the repository. OAuth credentials and refresh tokens remain in an access-restricted rclone configuration on the owner's VPS. This public website does not contain or display backup data, tokens or credentials.
Use, sharing and retention
Google Drive data is used only to keep and restore the owner's VPS backups. The integration does not sell the owner's data or share it with advertisers or other users. Planned backup retention is 7 daily, 4 weekly and 6 monthly snapshots, subject to the owner's backup schedule and manual actions. Deleting the repository from Google Drive removes its stored backup files.
Control and contact
The account owner can revoke the application's Google Drive permission in Google Account security settings and can delete the encrypted repository. Revoking access stops future backups until the owner grants access again. For questions about this integration, use the support email shown on the VPS01 Backup Google authorization screen.
